WALKER — The Walker Area Food Shelf is in need of donations after a recent spike in demand.
On Tuesday, Jan. 28, the food shelf's distribution day, 92 families visited, according to Hope Lutheran Church. The food shelf ran out of a number of products an hour before closing, including frozen foods and dairy.
