Border News Roundup: U.S. Steel in the News, Update on Virginia Shooting and Drug Charges in Ely

Friday mornings during Border News Roundup we get a chance to check in with Marshall Helmberger, the editor and publisher of The Timberjaynewspaper serving NE Minnesota.  This week Marshall tells us that U.S. Steel may eventually have to clean up groundwater contaminated by the Minntac tailings basin based on a recent decision issued by the Minnesota Supreme Court.  On an update on the shooting of a 19 year-old man from Virginia we learn that St. Louis County Attorney Mark Rubin has deemed the shooting justifiable. One of the owners of the Ely secondhand store Drop and Shop is facing felony charges over allegations that she sold methamphetamine from the business, located in downtown Ely.
