News From NE Minnesota on Border News Roundup

Each Friday morning we hear news from northeastern Minnesota when Marshall Helmberger joins Heidi Holtan for Border News Roundup.  This week they talk about the rising Covid-19 cases in St. Louis County, up from 25.5% last week to 37.9% this week.  The rise causing the temporary closing of in-class learning in the Tower-Soudan Elementary School and many cancellations for sporting events.  Marshall talks about a survey done by IRRR showing a growing demand for real estate in the area due to people looking to move out of metro areas and enjoy an area offering parks and trails.  The drawbacks for people moving to the area has been the broadband issues and mining concerns.  Marshall lets us know the lakes are freezing over, the snow is on the ground and he ends with an update on the pine grosbeak population.
