Writer Jennifer Herrera and her book "The Hunter"

Jennifer Herrera is a former philosophy graduate student, turned literary agent, turned debut writer! She is fascinated by the stories we tell ourselves to live, and the lies we cling to that sabotage our chances at a good life. This is evident in her debut novel, The Hunter. This suspenseful thriller features Leigh O’Donnell, a NYC police detective recently suspended from the job and separated from her husband. Her brother, also a police officer, convinces her to return to their home town in rural Ohio where 3 young men have recently been found dead. Her investigation into this drudges up dark secrets in their isolated small town and memories Leigh herself has buried. This is a compelling, twisty, and atmospheric story.

Tammy Bobrowsky works at Bemidji State University's library. She hosts "What We're Reading," a show about books and authors, and lends her talents as a volunteer DJ.
