Danielle Friedman and her new book "Let's Get Physical."

Little did journalist Danielle Friedman know that when she walked into a Manhattan ballet studio for a barre workout class that it would be the springboard into research for her book Let’s Get Physical: How women discovered exercise and reshaped the world. Danielle has written for many publications including New York Times, Vogue, and Harpers. Let’s Get Physical is available now in paperback and Danielle joins me now to talk about this book and the fascinating history behind women and physical fitness.

Tammy works at Bemidji State University's library, and she hosts "What We're Reading," a show about books and authors.
