Headwaters School of Music and Arts in Bemidji mixed art with science recently and the result was a whole lot of blended goodness. The topic was dragonflies. Ultimately, projects included stone collages, paper mache, pottery, pencil drawings and paintings. John Latimer, Northern Communtiy Radio's resident phenologist, shared his knowledge of the lives of dragonflies, then set the young artists free to create works of art around their new knowledge. In this segment of Area Voices, we sneak into John's presentation, learn about dragonflies and chat with kids about what they think of the experience.
