Area Voices: Bonfire Chamber Music Festival in Grand Rapids, MN

Bonfires and stringed instruments go hand in hand... there's something familiar about that combination of a camp fire and a guitar or ukelele.  A group in Grand Rapids, MN is taking this notion to the next level adding chamber music to the mix with the first ever Bonfire Chamber Music Festival.  We spoke with Mary Ellen Haupert, Heidi Wick, Nancy Oliveros, and David Marty on the morning show about this unique, intimate and cultural phenomenon taking place in Grand Rapids July 27th and 28th at the Reif Center.  Click on the link to learn more about the event, how chamber differs from other music and listen to the sound of an instrument created in the early 1800s!
