Album of the Week: Seule Sous Ma Frange by Pi Ja Ma
Pauline de Tarragon, who performs under the name Pi Ja Ma, is an artist to the core. She was drawing before she can remember, and is now not only a recording artist, but an illustrator for Children's literature. Now based in Paris, she has released her second album, Seule Sous Ma Frange.
The video for 'Les Questions' features de Tarragon's artwork.
The album features the duality of being human. Side A invites the listener to dance, laugh and sing, while Side B encourages comfort in the melancholy. The music captures indie pop, elements of a classic French song, blended with early pop influences from the 60s and 80s.
