Economic Tape & Economic Roundtable

Linda discusses the Dole economic plan with Martin Anderson, a senior fellow at the Hoover Institution at Stanford University and an advisor to candidate Bob Dole, Martha Phillips, executive director of the Concord Coalition, and Teresa Tritch, Washington bureau chief of Money Magazine. Anderson believes that the plan, with its large tax cuts, will ultimately benefit the poor and be good for economic growth; Phillips and Tritch disagree, saying that without equivalent cuts in government spending, the nation will suffer.
