KAXE Volunteers -
Marshall Oelmann
|
|
I was born in 1950 in Baltimore Maryland,
and have lived in Maryland, Pennsylvania,
New York, Vermont, Ohio, New Mexico, Utah
and "on the road" and for the last 31 years
in Minnesota, presently on Deer Lake between
Effie and Togo. |
|
|
|
I have been a musician, road manager and
tour manager, festival organizer, factory
worker, barely acceptable carpenter, radio
announcer and engineer and bartender. |
|
|
|
I was program director for KAXE for about 9
years and for the last 17 years, I have
owned the TAVERN on the EDGE (formerly the
Neighborhood) in Effie. |
|
|
|
In addition to
volunteering at KAXE (not nearly as often as
I'd like), I play mandolin and jug, grow
heirloom tomatoes, help to organize and host
gourmet wine-tastings, serve on the board of
my local lake association, watch old movies,
pet my dog and feed my cats ("my" being
strictly grammatical) and listen to baseball
games and KAXE and hope I can collect Social
Security someday. I fulfill my most
pressing addiction by participating with the
Edge Wild Players.
