KAXE Volunteers - Carolyn
King
|
|
|
|
Carolyn grew up in Grand Forks in the 50's
and 60's; traveled the country in her Dodge
Dart convertible in the 70's; worked at the
Grand Forks Food Co-op in the 80's; and
moved to Grand Rapids in the 90's. That's
when she discovered KAXE and swimming in the
Iron Range
mine
pits.
|
|
|
|
Due to both, she has
no intention of ever leaving. In college,
Carolyn majored in Radio and Television. She
won an award for being the only person in
class who swore on the air. Consequently,
she prefers working behind the scenes at
KAXE. Her favorite tasks are answering
phones during pledge drives and keeping the
Best Wishes book up-to-date. |
