Maggie
Montgomery and her husband Dennis live on 30
wooded acres in northeastern Hubbard County.
Maggie became a KAXE volunteer in 1984, and
ran for the station's board of directors
soon after that. As board president, she
helped implement a policy governance system
that the board still uses.
Maggie became Northern Community Radio's
general manager in 1995. There has been
plenty to do! NCR stabilized its finances,
entered the digital world, built new
studios, doubled its staff, increased
community service, overhauled KAXE's
programming, and is building a new community
radio station, KBXE.
