Guido has a review of the arts and Don Boese adds the final chapter to the Bovey Years. We hear about maple sap from Beth Hautala in Deerwood and Eli Sagor explains, what causes sap to run.
Apr 5, 2014: The Give & Take - A story of courtship in 1930's Ely, by Justine Dragavon. Physicist, Aaron Wegner talks about a new finding in physics. John Latimer gives us his Phenology notes for April. A review of the arts from Guido and the early years in Bovey by Don Boese continues. Also an essay from Aaron Brown on the Iron Range economy.
Mar 29, 2014: The Give & Take - Scott talks with Business North editor, Beth Bily about the Essar steel project in Nashwauk.  Julie Kramer, Minn author, talks with Heidi about her latest novel, "Delivering Death" and Guido gives us his review of the arts. Also, Heidi talks with Amanda Ysen about the exhibit by Support within Reach, "Start by Believing" in Grand Rapids. Don Boese adds to the history of Loren Lammon and the Bovey Years.
Mar 22, 2014: The Give & Take - Marsh Muirhead shares some Haikus, Jim Gallagher discusses canoe rebuilding and an excerpt from the "Jim Miller Story" documentary. John Latimer continues tracking the arrival of spring and historian Don Boese continues with the history of Bovey thru the writings of Loren Lammon.
Mar 15, 2014: The Give & Take - Leah Monroe, Ojibwe instructor talks with Heidi Holtan about the Drum and Dance competition held at Remer H.School. Jim Gallagher talks with Jeannie Bourquin about canoe building, plus John Latimer's notes on the arrival of spring. Feb 15, 2014: The Give & Take -This week Scott talks with Dr.Beverly Everett, conductor of the Bemidji Symphony Orchestra. Guido shared his thoughts on the recent First Friday. Don Boese adds another segment on Loren Lammon and early life in Bovey. The Sax-Zimm Bog Winter Festival is discussed with Sparky Stensaas, director of the friends of the Sax-Zimm Bog. Jim Gallagher talks with Brian Johnston about cairns (rock formations) he found on a trip to northern Canada.
Feb 8, 2014: The Give & Take -Heidi talks with Nimrod,Mn author, Jerry Mevissen about his book of short stories, "Good Shepherd". Guido's art review is here along with the late Gil Quaal's story on the Superbowl. Dewey Goodwin talks about his  stone sculptures exhibit at Watermark Art Center in Bemidji. Don Boese continues with the latest chapter of Loren Lammon during the early years in Bovey.

Jan 25, 2014: The Give & Take - January is stalking awareness month, Heidi talked a survivor from our series Invisible By Design. Scott talked with Laurie Jacobi, her designs in wool are on exhibit at MacRostie Art Center. Vivian Williams discusses being the kitchen boss and finnish pancakes for the Kropsuka festival in Palo. Don Boese starts the next Loren Lammon series, the Bovey years.
