Every first Friday of the month, we connect with northern Minnesotans and find out what is happening in the arts scenes across our listening area. In this segment of Area Voices, Heidi Holtan chats with Katie Marshall from the MacRostie Art Center in Grand Rapids about the happenings in downtown Grand Rapids. Tonight, there are 9 stops on the Grand Rapids First Friday Art Walk, so if you’re feeling a little cabin fever, First Friday is the perfect occasion to get out of your house, connect with other humans and enjoy some creative energy! Stops include exhibits at the MacRostie by abstract artist Barbara Kreft and feltmaker Kristen Anderson as well as free kids movies at the Central Square Mall. Area Voices is made possible by the Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund and the people of Minnesota.
