Author Interview: Brad Meltzer

Best-selling author Brad Meltzer's mysteries have garnered national attention, accolades and loyal followers for years.  Now that he's ventured into the world of children's books, he's attracting a whole new population of readers.  His series "Ordinary People Change The World" features historical figures who've done incredible things, but Meltzer presents them in ways kids can readily relate to.  True stories from their childhoods shine new light on people who are household names because of their actions as adults.  Harriet Tubman is his latest subject.  She joins, among many others, Amelia Earhart, Rosa Parks, Jackie Robinson, and Martin Luther King, Jr. in the series.

In this segment, Meltzer talks about how he shifted from mysteries to children's books, the newest book in his Ordinary People Change the World series, "I Am Harriet Tubman," his life of a professional writer, what's next for him, and much more!
