creativemn.org

Did you know there are nearly 3,300 artists and creative workers in Itasca, Lake and St. Louis Counties or that 25% of people who attend arts events in those counties travel more than two hours to do so? The Creative MN study is a comprehensive analysis of the economic impact the arts have across Minnesota. This year, 15  regions were assessed.  Of those 15 regions, the Iron Range's nonprofit arts and cultural organizations brought $12.3M into the economic engine of the Itasca, Lake and St. Louis counties. Sheila Smith, Executive Director of MN Citizens for the Artsjoined us on the morning show to talk about what it means for the region and she shared other fascinating data mined from the study as well.  Click on the link for the full conversation.

How do the arts impact your life economically or otherwise?  Send us an emailand tell us about it!
