Lots of changes happening around us.  Today's Talkbacks came from the following classrooms:

  • Mr. Adams - 4th Grade at Northern Elementary in Bemidji
  • Mr. Linders - 5th Grade at RJE Middle School in Grand Rapids
  • Mrs. Teigte Class from near Two Harbors
  • Mr. Holmes - 5th Grade Roosevelt Elementary in Virginia

There was a traffic accident Saturday night on Route 35 in Cherokee County, Ala. An 18-wheeler ran off the road and was badly damaged. Not really the stuff of national news, except for what happened next.

SHAPIRO: Shawn Rogers, director of Emergency Management, was one of the first to arrive on the scene.

Iran has confirmed media reports that U.S. Navy veteran Michael R. White is being held in an Iranian prison.

"An American Citizen, named Michael White was arrested a while ago in the city of Mashhad," the spokesperson for Iran's Ministry of Foreign Affairs said, according to the Islamic Republic News Agency. "His arrest was communicated early through Interests Section of The Islamic Republic of Iran to the US government."
